A beautiful example of Toshiko Takaezu's most recognizable pottery forms. Toshiko Takaezu (1922-2011) is one of the most renowned ceramicists to come out of the mid 20th century era. Takaezu attended the Cranbrook Academy and was a student and friend of Maija Grotell. She went on to teach at several universities including Princeton where she received an honorary doctorate.
